The project of animated series tells the story of Fercus' life, a shy and extremely disorganized dinosaur who lives alone on a house with his pet Furiko, a cute-drunk iguana. Like every other teenager he attends a School, but this School is overrun by supernatural forces and makes many students change completely their personality while on it. That way, Fercus goes from shy and stressed to hyperactive and psychotic. His world is dominated by machines, all the dinosaurs formed very under them and that makes most of them submitted. Dusky, a temperamental Coelophysis hates all technology that exists and for causing too much trouble on his past ended up with a bizarre implant on his head/back.

Faneria Planet
Thousands of years ago, the planet was a living place, with a beautiful nature and fresh air. Dinosaurs roamed there, but they was wild beasts. Water was abundant and thousands of insects filled the forests. The planet was basically made up of swamps, where the largest concentration of herbivores were located. There was a huge variety of these animals and they always had to fight for survival. The caves were made of crystals, they looked almost surreal, some animals took shelter there during rainy seasons. Everything was extremely balanced.
One day, a bizarre ship landed on Faneria, and from there, creatures never seen before emerge. They were metallic beings, some looked like birds, others like dragons. These “creatures”, without emotions and devoid of compassion, were able to do whatever they wanted: take possession of this new planet.
Upon stepping onto a new world, they soon realized that the most abundant and evolved animals were the dinosaurs, but unlike Earthlings, they were not as large. It did not take long for them to deforest almost everything, water became increasingly scarce, and now the dinosaurs could only find their way by digging deep. Thirsty for power and with a cruel desire to see suffering, the machines (now in large numbers) took the dinosaurs and subjected them to scientific experiments, which now made them more intelligent. But why all this? Even though they were intelligent, they still had a supernatural control over them, and wanted to see them suffer; they “fed” on their suffering. The machines “reproduce” themselves simply by building others and their technology is so advanced that in minutes a new robot appears.
The School
Hundreds of years later, the machines built one of the largest buildings on the planet. And it's a School. There are rumors (among the dinosaurs) that there is another school as well. Now the dinosaurs are endowed with enormous intelligence, but the machines ended up failing, they underestimated them too much. That's why they take all the young dinos (children and teenagers) and force them to attend the School, doing a kind of brainwashing. Those who don't attend are killed or subjected to extremely painful slavery, working in the Great Slaughterhouse or even inside the School.
The School is colossal, including to prevent them from getting lost, the young students are subjected to a small implant under their skin to "guide" them around the environment. If they can't find the exit, it beeps and tells them directions, like a GPS. The dinosaurs start attending the School as youngsters and only stop attending when they are adults.
The School environment is basically made up of the library, cafeterias, classrooms, laboratories and sports court. Most of the teachers are machines. The headmaster is also a machine and extremely technological, with supernatural strength, even the others of it's kind have fears on it. The carnivorous students study in the morning and the herbivores at night. By a natural reflex, the herbivores are terrified of the carnivores and live in underground worlds just not to be seen by the meat-eaters.
The School is a giant place where all the young dinosaurs comes to...survive.
Animals and the Environment
Despite being devastated, the machines left a healthy patch of land on the planet, which the dinosaurs calls “The Lost Woods”. In there have crystal caves, forests, lakes and a huge variety of invertebrates, mostly gigantic centipedes and dragonflies. Lizards and snakes also live in abundance, the most dangerous beast there is the megalania, a species of giant and venomous monitor lizard. As the air is pure, the night sky is starry and you can even see nebulae, there is strict surveillance at the entrance to this place to prevent the dinosaurs from entering, but even so, some managed to enter and never returned, because they became wild again. There is a very strong energy in Lost Woods, which in a matter of hours, returns them to savagery. The machines left this green space to generate at least a little oxygen for the creatures on the planet, so that they can stay alive and continue to enslave them. In their chaotic world, meat-eaters feed on rodents such as rats, mice, rabbits and chinchillas. The machines know this and have created a gigantic slaughterhouse for these animals, and in addition to them, many dinosaurs work as slaves there, cruelly killing the little mammals. There is little greenery in the cities, especially in Cybertek. The plant-eaters still have a bigger problem: finding food. These are the ones who risk going to the Lost Woods to try to collect some vegetables and fruits, many have a poor diet, eating mostly dirt. They certainly suffer more than the meat-eaters in this insane world.
The groups of dinosaurs on the planet are: theropods, sauropods, ceratopsids, ornithopods and thyreophorans. There are also pterosaurs, which are mostly wild and live on the streets, usually huddled under roofs. Some, from larger species, are intelligent and study at School. There are no marine reptiles, after all, there are no more oceans. The sky during the day is yellowish, and at dusk it can vary between red and orange. The clouds are always black.
Dinosaur Anatomy
They are the most different animals; they walk on two legs and with an upright posture. Obesity among herbivores does not exist because food is really scarce. They all have prehensile tails, serving as a fifth limb. Some carnivores have feathers on their bodies, with the largest concentration usually being on the head. The most common species of carnivore is Velociraptor and the most common herbivore is Triceratops. The smaller ones tend to be even more feathered, such as Troodon or Archaeopteryx.
Cybertek
At first it seems normal, there are stores, markets selling mouseburgers, sweet shops (even dinosaurs are fascinated by the so-called “Lollipops of Joy”), pet stores and even amusement parks created by machines. They love to feed on adrenaline too. The buildings are characterized by huge tubes and cables, which come out of their sides and tops. In some buildings, these cables serve as “bridges”. Few trees can be seen by Cybertek, most of them are dead. Some birds, such as crows and ravens, hide in abandoned places.
Punishment and Shadows
In the world of Faneria, there is no shortage of punishment and unnecessary rules, but nothing compares to what the students suffer at the School. Those who disobey the rules are subjected to psychological torture and macabre implants. Some dinosaurs look more like machines than organic beings due to the many metal parts that have been attached to their bodies. But most of the students do not have these implants, because they respect the rules imposed by the machines, they are scared to death. A machine with “supernatural” powers created by the School’s headmaster, located in the Touch-and-It’s-Dead room, generates shadows/spirits that stalk the students who arrive at the School. All of them, without exception, suffer psychological changes and, in more serious cases, visual changes. The machines agreed to build this shadow generator because they believe that their students will pay more attention in class – but that is not exactly what happens. The implants can vary greatly. If the dinosaur slept too much in class, he is punished with machines that keep his eyes open; If someone eats too much during class, they are then forced to wear an iron mask. The classes can be practical or theoretical, and most of the dinosaurs are taught to submit to the supreme beings of the planet (the machines). The practical classes usually take place in the laboratory, where they learn about their ancestors and when they were wild. This type of class serves as a nostalgic psychological torture. Several dinosaur bones and open animals are even displayed there.
Not only are implants used as punishment, but some students are also killed and embalmed. In the headmaster's room, where few souls enter, you can see hundreds of dead students, some with only their heads. Some adult dinosaurs who disobey the rules are punished by having to work as slaves at the School, and can be cooks or cleaners. The cooks who work in the cafeterias are all Therizinosaurus, simply because this species is very stubborn and consequently does not obey the machines. Another form of punishment is for children, which is simply to bury them up to their necks in the playground, and they stay there until it's time to leave School.
The students are always scared to death when the teacher speaks.
The teacher "Great Eagle", as the dinosaurs refers to it, showing in a big screen what can happens if they don't obey their rules.
Allan and Dip are examples of students that already suffered some implants as punishment on their bodies.
Their Culture
Some dinosaurs created “tribes,” and the largest and most famous of them are the goths. All of them wear a black plastic garment around their necks that goes down to their waists. Many young dinos wear them in public. Trenchcoats, combat boots, and gloves are also part of it, but unfortunately goths are insulted by members of their own species for looking too grotesque, after all, it's “normal” for dinosaurs to walk around without clothes. There are rocker dinosaurs and those who like psychedelia, who usually wear colorful, striped socks, as well as extravagant boots with spikes. But despite looking aggressive, they are usually the friendliest dinosaurs. Machines do not interfere in anything that concerns their culture.
Pets
Dinosaurs are evolved reptiles with avian characteristics, especially the carnivores. Some live with pets, and these are always reptiles: lizards, snakes, turtles and even crocodiles. They get these reptiles from The Lost Woods, where some brave dinosaurs manage to enter and capture them. It is not at all ethical, after all they were free and happy there, despite the dangers that any animal faces in the wild. Reptiles (especially lizards and snakes) are very smart, some communicate with their owners using telepathy, they are said to be the ones with the strongest bond, both of trust and affection. Herbivorous lizards feed on preserved fruits that their owners buy from pet stores, while carnivores have it easier, they just have to catch rats.
Furiko and his friends Zilla and Velca are pets. They are regular small reptiles.

Meet the characters!
Is always fascinating creating literally a new life, and this can takes time and a lot of effort to "make it alive". They need a good design, a complex personality and way of move, since it is an animation idea. To create some of them, tooks more than a year to finish, like Nyp and Sbirffo. The characters are inspired in dinosaurs (the suffered beings), many of them can looks different from the original animal, but well, they are not from Earth. Reptiles (wild and pets) and with a reptilian appearence as inspiration, the machines...The villains of this world.
The dinosaurs and other reptilian relatives in general are pretty insane, tormented and scary.
The lizards, snakes, tortoises and crocodilians acts like regular pets and depending (the wild ones), dangerous.
And the machines are pure evil, all of them, no exceptions.

Technical Sheet
The animation will be done entirely in traditional 2-D. Since it will be quite comical, the exaggerated expressions will be more manageable if done this way. The soundtrack will be based on a dark and depressive tone.

Temporary Bravery
by Camila and Rodrigo

The Tri-Infects of Death
by Karen
Three new students have come from far away from Faneria to study at Cybertek. But there's something strange about all three of them, as they seem to have stepped out of a horror movie: one of them is a machine in disguise, and the other two... Well, they've been dead for a long time!
When Green Rules
by Rodrigo
When Fercus swallows a radioactive rock in class, he ends up remaining green and psychotic outside of School. Things couldn't get any worse...But they do. Either Fercus finds a way to turn himself "blue" again, or he'll ironically be annihilated by an angry mob of herbivorous dinosaurs!
The Emperor's Punishment
by Rodrigo
An ancient magic resurrects an old emperor within the School, who now wants to reclaim his lost kingdom. But he has no idea that being inside the Cybertek's School, with Fercus as a classmate and the Great Eagle as a teacher, is simply more terrifying than any Night of the Living Dead.
Home Alone

Can We Dissect Furiko?
by Rodrigo
The Cybertek's School decides to implement practical classes on reptile dissection, but the students themselves have to bring the reptiles to class. Arriving there, he meets a different being, half machine, half organic, who ends up becoming incredibly attached to him, an unique friendship. However, Zurg and Dusky, when they find Fercus, do not know that this being is his friend...And in this moment that the strange creature shows it's affection for Fercus and his friends, being capable of giving it's life for them when things go from bad to worse!
The Sad Cartoonist
by Camila
Vodk's "gift" for drawing is undervalued by Great Eagle, Brusk and even his friend Reby. Nothing could get worse, until a business-dino calls him and shows interest in displaying his drawings in an exhibition. In the end, it's all just a very bad joke setup created by Brusk to simply make fun of Vodk.
Fercus in Kindergarten
by Rodrigo
The headmaster and Great Eagle decide to punish Fercus in a different way, sending him to study in kindergarten, which is the only room where they brainwash (in a really hard way) the students...Fercus is taken there by force, but manages to do the unusual: he finds a way to do a "reverse brainwashing" on the children, making them terrible and making them want to devour...Himself! The machines will be forced to get him out of there before the worst happens.
In the Darkness of the Day
by Camila and Rodrigo
It's test day at School, and everyone is apprehensive, until in the middle of the test...The power goes out. Despite the situation being a reason to celebrate - because the machines are apparently deactivated - the students have to unite to walk through the School in the dark and get out of there in safety. But this starts to become a dangerous adventure when, one by one, started to mysteriously disappear...Could Fercus be responsible for the missings? Or the ghosts that haunt the School?
Reverse and Perverse Feelings
by Camila and Rodrigo
Tynna dreams deliriously about Tollu, who simply doesn't care about her. But, accidentally, Zurg puts a "love stimulant" potion - a failed test to make a potion that increases intelligence, but which resulted in a potion that makes someone inexplicably fall in love with others - in Tollu's juice, which he drinks and falls in love with Tynna. And with that the situation reverses: With each attempt to show love for Tynna, she begins to think that he is getting rid of her... Until the "love" for Tollu becomes an unhealthy obsession, and he begins to become aggressive and hostile towards the machines.
Teleporting Confusion
by Camila and Rodrigo
In one fine day, walking to School, Fercus discovers, along with Dusky, that Zurg has made a deal with the machines to use one of his inventions: A teleportation machine to take students from one place to another. The problem is that Zurg gets confused and offers an “outdated” version of his invention, which makes the students actually teleport – but they all arrive “deformed” on the other side...
The Dino and the Parakeet
by Camila
Riley and the entire population of Cybertek are complaining about a mysterious giant feathered monster that feeds on School supplies, but the machines consider this story to be a legend...Until the moment when the feathered creature invades the School and devours not only School supplies but all and any belongings of the students. Everyone suspects that Nyp is occasionally transforming into the monster (given that his coloring is similar to the creature's), which makes him the subject of bullying. In the end, the real culprit of the situation is a random student at the School who suffers from a strange "personality change".
Vengeful Implant
by Rodrigo
CarnuTV is often used as an inanimate object and humiliated by having dozens of implants, but this reaches his limit on a day when he is presenting his work at the School. Outraged by the whole situation, he decides to take revenge, making the machines implant in him a device that opens a portal that connects the School with Lost Woods, allowing the animals that live there to invade the classrooms, hallways and everything else. Result: The School becomes more chaotic than it already was, needing urgent pest control!
The Book that Already Knew
by Rodrigo
The Great Eagle forces the students to write a report based on one of the books in the School library, and Fercus doesn't know which book to write about. He simply has no patience for the books his friends suggest, until he decides to pick up one that is considered "haunted" in there. And it is indeed haunted: the pages change text without warning and the illustrations "predict" things that will happen in the future. At first, Fercus is amused by this, knowing what will happen to everyone, but he becomes worried when he sees a figure of himself "doing very badly". In the end, Fercus tries to avoid what is in the book from happening at all costs.
Feather's Problem
by Camila and Rodrigo
The "feathered" students in the classroom, including Fercus, start scratching their heads non-stop, and the machines detect that the reason is lice. The machines then decide, the next day, to remove the lice from the students' heads, one by one, using horrifying devices. Arriving home, Fercus discovers that the lice came from a wig that Furiko picked up in a store, and throws it in the trash, however; an incident causes the wig to fall into a stream and causes the lice to spread throughout Cybertek, forcing the machines to take a more drastic decision.
Ghosts of the Slaughterhouse
by Camila
Nyxon ends up going out at night to collect dead rats from the Cybertek Slaughterhouse, and is surprised by something. The next day, he is completely neurotic and terrified, claiming that the slaughterhouse is haunted and that the ghosts there want to kill him. The students make fun of the cook, but the machines don't like this situation, and set up a situation so that Fercus and Dusky end up going to the slaughterhouse at night to, unintentionally, "check out" the situation. There, they realize that Nyxon hadn't gone crazy for nothing and if they're not careful they could end up going just as crazy.
Revenge
by Camila
There are times when bullying reaches a point where it is unbearable, and Reby has reached that point. Together with Vodk, this duo will almost destroy the School to eliminate their targets: Brusk and Twaambo. Reby wants revenge for having his claws ripped out when he was younger.
Creating a Whole World...
It's not easy! To create another world, so different from ours, we need to make a lot of drawing tests, and it can takes a lot of effort and creativity. Some of the characters took a few years to "complete" the design and some of the places are still on study.
Creating Life!
Here are some of the many studies made for the creation of the characters for this series.
Many of them was hard to find the best design! Some of them have changed over the years, due to paleontological new discoveries as feathers on some species and even art style.

Chaotic World
Some concepts of the environment of their world called Faneria, a cold and sad planet with a changing-color moon. The School - A colossal School where many of the stories happens. In there (and all over their world, actually) robotic beings are in control and feed with the pain of the students. The place is dark and have a long entrance hall where phantasmagoric things happens, turning all the students into their other ego.
The Lost Woods - In such a devastated world, is there a huge and unique natural place, where wild animals live. In there, dinosaurs are forbidden by the mechanical didactors (the robots) because they can turns into wild beasts again by the Nature's force and being potentially dangerous for the machines. This place is beautiful, the only way the dinos can see the beauty of a starry night and feel the fresh air.
Dinosaur's Home - All the dinosaurs (and other reptiles) live almost like "normal" civilians, in houses, apartments an even in the underground, like the herbivores. Many of them keep reptiles as pets, such lizards, snakes, tortoises and crocodilians.
Faneria - Faneria is the name of their planet. They don't have a lot of cities, in there is just a vast chaotic world (the concentration of buildings is called Cybertek) with a colossal School and dinosaurs surviving, suffering of many ways in the cold claws of the mechanical beasts that invaded Faneria millions of years ago.

The Mysterious Door
by Camila
Furiko calls his two friends Zilla and Velca home after his owner has left. Furiko and Zilla chat over drinks, while Velca wants to find out what's behind one of the house's closed doors. Despite being forbidden, she doesn't hesitate.
Zilla is in Love
by Camila
Furiko calls some lizards to party at his owner's house while he's away. Zilla appears holding a large rolled-up piece of paper in his hand. Hiding from prying eyes, he looks at it all the time with a look of love, everyone wants to try to see who his crush is.
The Box
by Camila
After his owner leaves, Furiko shows off his “collection” of fruit-shaped stuffed animals that he loves. Velca is enchanted by how “cute” they all are, and Zilla realizes that Furiko has hidden a large box under lock and key. He then torments him to find out what’s inside.
Fan Art

Over the years, the project received a lot of amazing fan arts from talented people. It's amazing to see all the diversity of styles and works here.
I'm very grateful for all the love and care given to this project. Actions like these give me the strength to continue this hard work, but so important to me.
The Arts for the Episodes
To imagine the whole idea for the episodes, I have to make more and more studies. Here, are some of the artworks studies for some of the episodes. A lot of it changed over the years.
